"I'm a passionate, inquisitive and creative teacher/trainer. Students learn best when they are engaged and active during the learning process and learning is not truly complete until the learner has successfully applied the gained skills and knowledge in real life. I love to have fun, and I have found that most learners are at their best when having fun.

I have a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and have been teaching English since 2009 in five different countries around the world. I lived and worked in China for just under 10 years. I have experience teaching classes and tutoring individuals in English, Spanish and Chinese. In China, I held a role like Principal and was responsible for training and developing all teachers in the school, both new and experienced.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Mandarin Chinese with a one-semester Study Abroad program in Beijing Foreign Studies University.

I was born and raised into a bilingual family (English-Spanish) and I have frequently traveled and studied in several Spanish-Speaking countries (including Mexico, and several others in Central and South America).

Having a good relationship with the student is essential. An effective teacher understands the learner, his or her needs, current abilities, current difficulties and most importantly LEARNING GOALS, using all this information to develop the best course.

I am also a hobby linguist and in total I can speak 5 different languages. My experience as a constant language learner has given me the ability to really understand the struggles that language learners go through (this is often difficult for native speakers to appreciate). Along with this understanding, I have developed the ability to explain language concepts and rules in many different ways to help my students internalize them and really be able to use the language.
