"Hello and welcome! I’m a certified secondary math teacher and curriculum writer with nearly 20 years of experience tutoring students from elementary school through college. I’m a graduate of Eastern Michigan University’s College of Education and have spent my career helping students build confidence and master concepts in math, science, and beyond.

I have a strong track record of improving student performance on standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, and GRE, as well as in classroom settings—from middle school math through calculus and study skills. I also enjoy working with elementary students in subjects like reading and language arts.

My first teaching experience was with an Upward Bound program in Michigan, and during college, I tutored peers in Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Physics at my university’s math lab. Since then, I’ve taught high school math in public schools, tutored through Sylvan Learning Center, and served as a curriculum writer and interim manager for a national STEM education company—helping schools implement hands-on, student-centered math instruction.

What I love most about tutoring is the opportunity to work one-on-one with students and really identify where their thinking goes off track. I use a supportive, data-informed approach to guide students back toward understanding. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a student’s confidence grow and watching them experience that “aha” moment when it finally clicks.
