"I have over ten years of combined tutoring and teaching experience. I have a current Teacher’s Certification from the state of Maryland. I obtained a Master’s degree in Teaching, specializing in Elementary Education, in 2017. I also have over 5 years of experience specifically working with students who have IEP and 504 plans, providing an individualized approach to their education.

I would like to focus on middle and high school students who would like assistance in multiplication/division, fractions, pre-algebra, geometry, and algebra. I have found success breaking problems down into simplified steps, applying complex concepts to real-world examples, and making learning fun!

In addition, I am proficient in current educational technology services, including Google Classroom Suite, IXL, Kahoot, DeltaMath, and EdPuzzle.

I give my students autonomy in their education; I let students pick the problems we work on, describe the issues they are having, and we work together to find the solution in a way the student understands. This technique has been proven boost their confidence and engagement with the subject. My favorite part about tutoring is watching students overcome their difficulties and succeed.
