"Hi! I'm Jillian H, a certified K–8 educator with a Master of Arts in Teaching from Washington State University and more than three years of full-time classroom experience. I’ve taught 5th grade for two and a half years and 8th grade for one year at Christ the King Catholic School. In 2024, I was honored to receive the Teacher of the Year award—a recognition that reflects my deep commitment to student growth, engagement, and success. During this past school year, my students achieved an impressive 246% overall growth in their i-Ready Reading scores, thanks to consistent, individualized instruction and a strong classroom culture of effort and confidence.

I specialize in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and study skills. I also support students with executive functioning and test preparation. My tutoring style is warm, structured, and encouraging. I focus on meeting students where they are and helping them move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose. Every session is designed to strengthen skills, foster independence, and build genuine academic confidence.
