"I hold a Master's in Reading Education and have worked as a kindergarten teacher and private reading tutor. I specialize in intensive reading intervention for students struggling with learning to read and am also highly skilled in teaching young students how to read from the ground up!

I have more than 8 years experience in reading instruction that covers helping students learn their first sounds up through breaking down multi-syllabic words. As such, I take students from ages 4 to about 12.

Patience, consistency, and positive encouragement is central to my methodology and I try to help my students celebrate each small victory.

My lessons will begin with a basic evaluation to target the most important skills your student needs to be able to read with more ease and fluency. I love helping students "crack the code" of the English language so they can begin to read their favorite stories and books independently! Finding joy in reading is what I hope each student can achieve through my lessons.

I have a deep understanding of the research based methods on how students learn to read. I can help identify the phonics patterns your student has and has not mastered in order to target my instruction to meet their needs.
