"I have over a decade of experience teaching and tutoring students with a wide range of learning needs in both in-person and online settings. From 2013 to 2018, I worked as a college writing tutor, supporting students of all backgrounds as they developed stronger planning, organization, and writing skills for academic success. I have also tutored young children ages three to six in foundational reading and math, helping early learners build confidence and essential skills. From 2018 to 2024, I served as an elementary special education teacher, teaching math, reading, writing, science, and social studies in classroom, small-group, and individualized settings. More recently, I taught special education online in a classroom-style environment and have additional experience providing one-on-one virtual tutoring.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education. I hold Reading and ESOL endorsements and am licensed in Special Education in both Georgia and New Mexico. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with English Language Learners of all ages and ability levels, and I am comfortable adapting instruction to meet a wide variety of academic, language, and learning needs across grade levels and subject areas.

My tutoring philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student can learn and grow when they feel supported, understood, and encouraged. I know that students may need different approaches to reach their goals, and I enjoy using creative problem-solving and my special education background to find strategies that truly work for each learner.
