"I am in my 8th year of teaching within the NYC Department of Education. During my career, I have taught US History, Global History, Government, Economics, Prealgebra, Algebra, Geometry and Middle School Science. I have a wide breadth of experience across all contents and I want to help your child understand them all.

I graduated cum laude from SUNY New Paltz with a double major in History and Black Studies and a double minor in Psychology and Disaster Studies in 3.5 years. I hold a Post-Bacc in Social Studies from Queens College and a Masters in Special Education from SUNY Empire State College.

Since I have been legally able to work, I have had the pleasure of working with students in a variety of instruction, whether it be one-on-one or in large groups. In addition, the population of students I've worked with are extremely diverse, ranging from elementary-aged students that required early intervention services for learning disabilities all the way up to high school students that are preparing for the college admissions process.

I understand that writing may be difficult for some students; it's hard to get all of your thoughts and ideas into neat, organized paragraphs. Throughout my time as a student and teacher, I have developed methods that help structure essays to the liking of both the student and their teacher. Together, we can help formulate your ideas from theory to page.

I have developed techniques to break down exams to the basics and ensure that the student is prepared for an exam. In my classroom, we use a variety of methods and resources to further improve skills. With these tools, I can help ensure that your child is prepared for their exam, no matter the grade.
