"Hello! I'm Traci, and I have a passion for education, teaching, and learning. I hold a bachelors degree in Spanish and linguistics. During my years in college, I had professors who went above and beyond to ensure that I had the best quality of learning. They were quick to answer any questions I had and were there for additional support outside of the classroom. I have developed this same trait for my students if they have questions or concerns.

I learned Spanish at age seven in elementary school. As I grew older it was clear I had a niche for it. In college I met many different people from Latin America as well as Spain and adapted to their unique speaking styles. I also worked at a Hispanic community center and worked with Spanish-speaking individuals. In addition, I had the opportunity to live and study abroad in Spain in 2017 and have since adapted my speaking style to Castilian Spanish. It was during this time that my love of the language and culture became paramount.

My teaching journey began 11 years ago as an ESL instructor. I taught English to a young Mexican man who wanted to improve his English. It was great a exchange because while I was helping him with English, he was helping me to become more fluent in Spanish. We cultivated a friendship that went beyond our classes. He has since moved back to Mexico and we often kept in touch. From there I gained more traction with students and have taught individuals from all over the world. With respect to Spanish, I began teaching at a K-12 charter school where I taught students in grades 7-12. It was there that my love of teaching amplified. I then started working at another K-12 charter school as a Spanish support teacher and paraprofessional. If there was any translation or interpretation needed, I was there to help my colleagues. I am now a TEFL and Spanish instructor for children and adults.
