I am an educator and healthcare professional deeply committed to student success and the preparation of compassionate, competent practitioners. With over 20 years of experience in general surgery, acute care, and interdisciplinary healthcare, I bring real-world clinical insight into the classroom and curriculum. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), a nursing degree, certification as a surgical technologist, and a Master’s in Healthcare Systems Management.

Currently, I serve as Dean at a large, multi-campus college, where I champion academic quality, curriculum innovation, and personalized student support across nursing and allied health programs. My leadership is guided by a belief that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, and I work closely with faculty and staff to remove barriers, strengthen academic readiness, and support professional growth.

Previously, I led system-wide nursing education as Manager of Clinical Practice and Development in a multifacility healthcare system that included a Level 1 trauma center. In that role, I developed preceptorships, simulation programs, and continuing education pathways that elevated clinical competence and advanced bedside practice.

Over the past seven years, I have taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and have partnered with major textbook publishers to create NCLEX-aligned instructional materials that support diverse learners. I am especially proud of my work improving outcomes for at-risk nursing programs, including dramatically raising NCLEX pass rates.

My greatest passion is empowering students, whether through innovative teaching, accessible mentorship, or tailored academic strategies, to reach their full potential and thrive in today's complex healthcare environment.
