"About Me – Chef Javier G.

Hello! I’m Chef Javier, a professionally trained international chef from Venezuela with additional culinary studies in Italy. I have over nine years of experience teaching cooking classes, both in Venezuela and in the United States, where I currently work as a chef instructor for the renowned culinary company Sur La Table.

My teaching style blends cooking with the rich cultural and historical context of the dishes and ingredients we use. I enjoy sharing the origins of recipes, the stories behind traditional meals, interesting facts about ingredients, and how these recipes evolve and are reinterpreted in different parts of the world. I believe that when we understand the background of a dish, we cook it with more meaning and appreciation.

I am passionate about all world cuisines, and in addition to cooking and teaching, I love reading, traveling, and playing tennis. I also hold a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Management, alongside my culinary training.

Beyond the kitchen, I own and manage a family farm where we raise water buffalo in a natural, free, and sustainable environment—a tradition passed down for five generations.
