"It is my goal to make chemistry understandable, practical and interesting.

I taught high school chemistry for 37 years and started the Advanced Placement Chemistry Program in my school district. I taught AP Chemistry for 31 years. I had one of the largest and most successful programs in California, having as many as 128 of my students take the AP Chemistry Exam in one year. I am passionate about learning and the subject of Chemistry. I am also a subject specialist in the Earth Sciences, having a Bachelor’s Degree in Earth Sciences from Scripps Institute of Oceanography.

I was honored to be Orange County, CA, Teacher of the Year and a finalist for California Teacher of the Year.

I am retired now but continue to tutor chemistry because I love sharing the experience of being successful in a subject that many consider daunting." less...
