"I graduated from UC Davis with a degree in chemistry and I have over 10 years of tutoring experience, substituting teaching and working in a group setting at a learning center. I tutor adults and children of all ages. I developed a passion for science early on and want to help others get excited about learning and pursuing careers in STEM. I don’t believe in simply memorizing steps to the problem, therefore I begin with basic concepts to tackle the topic and build on that, as well as apply concepts to everyday life. I help the student to approach a problem in a great deal to make sure the student understands. I try to engage the student in problem solving process by asking the student questions on how to approach the problem step by step. In order to assure myself the student grasped the subject, I ask the student to solve the problem themselves.
