"My freshman year at IUP I started teaching as a TA in the Chemistry labs. I went on to work as a TA while working toward writing my thesis. I then attended Kent State University as a TA as well but was provided more freedom in the classroom. I have an extensive background in the subject through graduate school research. I currently work as a Chemist for the Department of Environmental Protection Bureau of Laboratories.

People tend to think of Chemistry as so difficult. It is this thinking that defeats students. If a student can understand a concept confidence is gained. Once a student becomes confident enough they realize that the concepts of Chemistry can actually be understood. This is the approach I take when tutoring.
