"I became a Chess Fide Master in 2009 when I was 19 Years Old. I have been teaching Chess for more than 12 Years, and I have been playing Chess for more than 27 years. My current Rating on the International Chess Federation (FIDE) is 2353 (with a peak of 2404 in 2017). I have 2 International Master Norms (I just need one more IM Norm to become International Master).

I have been running my own Youtube Channel for more than 5 years and I currently have more than 4.5k subscribers. I have more than 2.2k subscribers on Chess.com.

I have played in several International Tournaments, like Carlos Torre Repetto in Mexico, and Capablanca Memorial in Cuba. As a kid, I won national tournaments under 10 years old in Cuba (National Champion U-10).

I have trained National Medalists in Children's Categories in both Cuba (earlier) and USA (more recently). Given the quality of the posts I have written (especially instructive posts), I have been qualified as a Top Blogger on Chess.com, which means my blog posts reach a wide audience all over the world. Based on the reviews, blog posts, and positive atmosphere around my profile, I was elected Coach of the Month on Chess.com in April 2024.

As a Coach, I have worked with students of all ages (from 5 to 70 years old). Lately, I have been working mainly Online, in many Private Lessons and some Group Lessons.

As a Teacher, some of my greatest strengths are my patience and empathy with the students, which have allowed me to help players of many different levels (from total beginner to advanced player). I have helped students with their Openings, Endgame Knowledge, Psychological Preparation, Mindset for Tournaments, Tactics, Middlegame, etc. I like to work with the students' games, and I feel this is one of the most useful activities, as we can spot weaknesses and work on them.
