I am a native Chinese from Shanghai, China. And I graduated from Fudan University, one of the best universities in China. I have also lived in Los Angeles, Pittsburgh and then Austin for more than 4 years. Currently, I am working as a Hardware Engineer in Portland, Oregon.

I started teaching/coaching people Chinese Mandarin at Fudan University from 6 years ago to international students who needs Chinese for their study and future jobs. I can customize the class and materials for every students based on their needs, interests and levels. In my opinion, learning Chinese is more than just language learning. It is a bridge for you to understand the Chinese culture, history, politics and business manners. My students range from 3-year old toddler, traveler to China who wanted to get prepared linguistically to Texan businessman who just established business tie with Chinese merchants. In short, all levels of Chinese learners will be welcome.

As for kids, I could read stories and play language or culture related games with them. Besides, I will watch Chinese movies and cartoons with them from time to time. I will try my best to create Chinese-friendly environment during my class and make the child happy. The kids will learn Chinese with fun and enjoy this language from my class.

As for adults or college students, I will put more emphasis on the Chinese culture, history and manners in my class. Occasionally, we can celebrate the Chinese traditional festivals together and enjoy Chinese food and stories. I will customize the emphasis of language learning depending on student's needs and interests.
