I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in communication disorders with a triple minor in Asian studies, Deaf studies, and linguistics. I am currently pursuing my master’s in speech-language pathology. As a future speech therapist, I am highly motivated in crafting personalized writing approaches that work for each individual student. As your writing tutor, I will bring this same level of careful attention to help discover your writer’s voice.

Throughout college, I was a writing consultant for two years and a career peer advisor for three years. My tutoring sessions involve goal setting to build clarity, increase the level of detail, or meet word counts. By creating checkpoints, I am highly detail-oriented and attentive towards the needs of students. Some of my strengths within tutoring writing include brainstorming ideas, supporting academic research, and clarifying prompt expectations.

As a writing consultant, I held individualized sessions to accelerate the continuous academic growth of 90+ diverse students in a 1:1 setting by understanding their needs while providing motivational feedback during the brainstorming, revising, and drafting process. I have experience guiding students in proper citation (MLA/APA), scholarly research (research papers), and crafting personal statements (undergraduate, graduate, and scholarship applications). Within a collegiate setting, I have three years of experience with reviewing resumes, cover letters, and conducting mock interviews. I have a high level of academic research experience as a published author, and through conducting a systematized review.
