"Adela R graduated from Bowdoin College in 2022, with a degree in Anthropology and History. Encouraged by her experience as a reading assistant at a local elementary school, she served as math tutor and interventionist for two years at a New York City public school. There Ms. R gained experience working in classrooms with diverse student needs, and with a variety of curriculum plans. Most frequently, Ms. R provided small group intervention in math classrooms for 6th and 7th grade students using data analysis from project based learning assignments as well as formal assessments. Throughout the school year, she provided frequent updates to families about individual student growth.

After two years, Ms. R decided to pursue a teaching role at a Boston public charter school. She joined the school as a 6th grade math teacher in 2024, and will transition into a science and computer science classroom role in the 25-26 school year.
