"Hello! My name is Kaitlyn B. and I am an undergrade accounting student at Texas A&M university. I am an honor roll student and am in their Professional Program of Accounting, which is a 5-year integrated Master's program where I will eventually sit for the CPA.

I have been doing tutoring for almost 6 years through company based, volunteering, and my own personal clients. It all started when I went to high school, this led me to my first ever experience in tutoring, for a non-profit company that provided services to underprivileged groups.

The first subject I ever tutored was Spanish, although I am not fluent, I would view my student's word list and take it upon myself to create a curated lesson plan that worked best for him. My next opportunity was working at Kumon, which provided me with a newfound skills in professionalism and learning how to adjust to multiple different types of learning styles and how to teach small groups of kids. Then, I moved on to my own personal tutoring business within family friends and people in my neighborhood from ages 8-16. One student, I met with twice every week to help her complete tasks such as homework and reviews because she needed extra supplements due to her ADHD diagnosis. This taught me how to deal with different behavioral challenges and how I can support these kids who deal with challenges of feeling overwhelmed after a full day of learning. I also taught Algebra 2 to multiple students in my community. Lastly, this summer I have been able to help my friend with her entry level accounting class before she moves into the harder courses.

I have a great passion for not only learning and consuming knowledge, but tutoring and helping out others is my favorite thing to do, whether it is my peers or students who need my help.
