"I have worked in higher education for 9 years, in student advising roles, primarily in career development. Student success has always been my main goal and what motivates me. My passion is teaching and tutoring in order to help students meet their academic and career goals. Mentoring students and being a resource to them is why I love tutoring. When I worked in career development and taught classes, many of my tutoring appointments at schools were from students I met through classes and in my advising office. It is important for me to get to know my students and provide the best mentorship that I can.

What makes me an outstanding tutor is that I not only have the background in Communication Studies and previous tutoring experience, but that I also taught public speaking and reading techniques to students. I understand what professors are looking for and I am here to help students improve their reading, writing, and public speaking skills as well as build self-confidence. In addition, I currently help students with their resumes, cover letters, interviewing techniques and essays. I can provide mentorship in any of these career development areas.
