I have a variety of teaching experience in classrooms, lecture halls, museums, and one-on-one in private residences. My background and studio practice are interdisciplinary and experimental but have roots in technical understandings of drawing, painting, sculpture, video, and other digital media. I've taught Drawing and a lecture-based survey on modern and contemporary art as a Lecturer (Fall 2022-Present) and Adjunct Professor (Spring 2022) at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. I've also taught Drawing and soon Painting as an Adjunct Professor at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute's Watauga Campus in Boone, NC. Previous to teaching college I worked as a Private Tutor of Studio Art and Art History for a Residential Family in New York, NY from 2019 - 2020. I was also a Teaching Artist for Children’s Museum of the Arts in New York, NY from 2017 - 2019. I have also worked as a Substitute Teacher for the Town of Brookline (2016 - 2017) and as an After-School Educator at Lincoln Extended Day (2015-2017) in Brookline, MA. In the summers of 2013 and 2014 I worked as an Assistant Teacher and Counselor for Art at the North Carolina Governor’s School in Winston-Salem, NC. Earlier in my career I was an Education Intern at the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures in Kansas City, MO, 2010.
