"Hello! My name is Pierce, and I am a graduate (with distinction) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I triple majored in mathematics, physics, and english literature. Since graduating, I have spent two years teaching: in 2023-2024, I worked remotely as a tutor of AP Physics; and in 2024-2025, I taught high school mathematics, physics, and chemistry at an IB World School. In total, I have taught or tutored more than 200 students, many of whom achieved perfect or high marks on their AP or IB exams. Outside of the classroom, I have tutored a number of students one-on-one, both in math, science, and in college-essay-writing. My experiences in extracurricular tutoring range from algebra review to differential equations exploration.

The hallmarks of my teaching style are an enthusiasm for the material, an emphasis on clarity of expression and thought, and a desire to build a personal academic connection with the student. My combined background in STEM and the Humanities allows me, at once, to delve into complex material and to communicate effectively with the student. I am equally happy to work with students who are struggling with their classwork as I am to tutor students striving to progress beyond their curricula.
