"Hi! I'm new to Pennsylvania. I previously lived with my family in Utah, where I taught Special Education. I helped elementary-aged students learn reading, writing and math based on the common core state standards and their personal levels of academic achievement.

I received a bachelor's in Special Education with an emphasis in severe disabilities from Brigham Young University. While there, I was a writing tutor for other university students. I worked at the student writing center and students would bring in assignments of all subjects and at any point in the writing process. We would sit down for about 30-40 minutes and discuss the most important and most difficult aspects of writing - audience, purpose, organization, flow, voice, etc.

I also lived in the Czech Republic for 16 months after a 9-week intensive language study program.
