"I earned a Master's degree in Mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York and have taught and tutored mathematics for over twenty years. I have taught middle school and high school students at a private college-preparatory K-12 school, as well as undergraduate students at 2-year and 4-year colleges. I enjoy working with students of all ages and have taught students as young as 7th grade, and all the way up through adults returning to the classroom. I have taught in a classroom setting and tutored one-on-one all math classes from Pre-Algebra through AP Calculus as well as Discrete and Finite Mathematics.

The students I have taught, tutored, and advised have had a wide range of abilities and math backgrounds. For example, I have taught Algebra to students at grade level, Geometry to students two years ahead of grade level, AP Calculus students, and a math course designed specifically for political science majors. I have incorporated various online tools, such as Desmos, Geogebra, Edpuzzle, and IXL into my lessons. These tools have been instrumental in helping my students master basic skills while helping me, as their teacher and tutor, understand where each student is in their understanding of the concepts so that I could meet them at their level.
