"Hi! I’m Marissa, a dedicated tutor with a strong background in science and education. I graduated summa cum laude from Allegheny College in 2023 with a degree in neuroscience and a minor in global health studies. During my time at Allegheny, I worked as both a tutor and teaching assistant in multiple science courses, helping students master challenging concepts. Currently, I am completing my master’s in biomedical sciences at Duquesne University and will be starting medical school at WVSOM this fall.

I have extensive experience in tutoring college-level subjects, including calculus, biology, and neuroscience, as well as serving as a certified teaching assistant in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and introductory psychology. In addition to my work at the college level, I have experience tutoring elementary students (K–5) in math, reading, and science.
