"Hello! My name is Myha and I am currently a college student at University of Wisconsin - Madison. I have little experience tutoring students in an academic setting; however, I do have a solid background in working with them! Starting from the age of 15 I was a Counselor in Training at Shetek Lutheran Ministries in Minnesota (my home state). I volunteered at Shetek for 2 years, as I taught students about religion and important life skills. Once I turned 17, I worked as a dance instructor for students ranging from ages 5-14. I started dance at a young age, and I wanted to share my passion with others! Then finally, this last summer (summer 2025) I worked as a counselor up in North Dakota at Elks Camp Grassick. This was a summer camp for teens and adults with disabilities, and my time there was truly something I will never forget! I loved teaching teenagers how to be independent, and I loved giving them a sense of "normalcy" (something they might not see in their everyday lives).

As for my academic criteria, do not let my age foul you! I am currently 18 years old, and I am working to achieve my undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin - Madison; however, I have already completed my Associates of Liberal Arts Degree from Minnesota West Community and Technical College! I took many duel enrollment courses in high school, which allowed me to complete my 2 year degree while still attending regular school.

As for my teaching methods, I am down to try anything! I believe it is important to listen to students, and make lessons entertaining/easy to understand! As I am younger, I would prefer to work with students in either Elementary or Middle School; however, any age will work! My strongest subjects are English, Math, and Science, but I would be willing to teach anything (including dance lessons).
