"Hi! I'm Ryan and I am a Senior at Northwestern University. I am a Political Science major + Spanish minor, and I have 10 years of experience with the language. I have a strong passion for Spanish language and culture and I love helping others learn about it as well. My experience extends to both Latin American Spanish (likely the type any American student would be learning) through schooling, and Spain Spanish through my time spent studying in the country, giving me the flexibility to assist with a wider range of grammar and vocabulary.

To parents and students: I understand the frustration and confusion that come with trying to learn Spanish in schools. I've been in the same difficult situation as you or your child, having Spanish education from Spanish 1 through AP Spanish and onto college levels. I have earned my state's Seal of Biliteracy and have completed Northwestern's Spanish minor program with a nearly perfect GPA, while navigating the same material as anyone learning Spanish in school systems today; I am eager to pass what I have learned onto those who need it. Beyond just teaching concepts, I am committed to ensuring any of my students fully understand what they are learning, rather than just memorizing rules "because they work." I have tons of fun tricks and tips to make understanding Spanish grammar easy which have helped me as well as siblings and friends that I have tutored to succeed in their classes. I also have multiple years of experience tutoring other subjects to high school students from the time I spent as a National Honors Society peer tutor. I will work with any student to make sure they are confident in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding their Spanish material so that they can achieve their academic and personal language goals.
