"Hello! My name is Vivek, and I’m currently a dental student at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. I graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Biology, and along the way, I developed a deep passion for mentoring students pursuing dentistry—especially those preparing for the Dental Admission Test (DAT), on which I scored in the 99th percentile.

Preparing for the DAT was a transformative part of my journey, and I understand firsthand how overwhelming it can feel. That’s why I’m committed to helping students break down complex topics, build effective study strategies, and develop the confidence they need to succeed. I specialize in the science sections of the DAT—General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Biology—but also have experience supporting students in the Quantitative Reasoning section, thanks to a strong foundation in math, including AP Calculus and years of tutoring Prealgebra through Algebra II.

As an undergraduate, I was fortunate to receive mentorship that shaped my academic path, and I’ve since made it my mission to pay it forward. I’ve worked with students both one-on-one and in small groups, focusing not just on content mastery but also on long-term test-taking strategies, time management, and mindset. My tutoring style is collaborative, adaptable, and grounded in the belief that learning is most powerful when students feel supported, heard, and challenged.
