"Hello Students and Parents,

My name is Eric, and I’m a computer programmer with a chemistry PhD from Columbia University who loves to tutor in my spare time. Over the last 15 years I’ve been a Columbia University teacher, a data scientist at JPMorgan Chase, a designer of quantum chemistry algorithms used by most big pharma companies, and a solar energy and biofuel researcher at NREL, the US government's main lab for renewable energy.

I specialize in helping students achieve their true potential by transforming frustration into “aha” moments in math, science and test prep. I have taught hundreds of students in chemistry and math as a former college and high school teacher.

I know what it’s like having a lot riding on good grades and test scores. I’ve helped many students improve their grades and test scores, just like I did when I was a student. My SAT and GRE scores jumped from the 89th percentile to the 99th percentile after test prep.

I live in Brooklyn and will travel to most neighborhoods in NYC. For fun I ride my bike around the city and teach computer programming classes to musicians and artists at my hacker / maker space in Brooklyn called NYC Resistor." less...
