My Bachelor's from Barnard College, Columbia University included a senior thesis on American politics using statistics to defend the hypothesis that public opinion of religious minority groups have long-term effects for the groups' civil liberties. This paper was chosen by Duke University to be one of ten undergraduate works to be presented at the American Political Science Association's (APSA) annual conference. It was thereafter published in the Harvard Mellon Mays Undergraduate Journal. My Master's research paper (MRP) used conflicts over blasphemy to analyze how they relate to traditional Western liberal theory. Since this topic became more relevant recently, I have been working on revising this MRP.
After years of Columbia Model United Nations (CMUN) participation, I presided over Columbia Model Congress (CMC), working on everything from conference planning to simulation training, and from advertising to editing newsletters. While working with a larger team in simulation conferences for the Columbia Model United Nations (CMUN), we hosted events for 500+ delegates. In my own capacity, with a smaller team, I have organized Columbia Model Congress (CMC) events for four successive years. The events had an average of 250 high school delegates in attendance, excluding high school teachers. The successes of my leadership role in CMC, in particular, could not have been possible without teamwork and judicious delegation of tasks.
