"I am an all-but-dissertation PhD candidate at Georgetown University in the Biology Department. My PhD dissertation focuses on quantitative modeling and genetics - I have a strong statistics and math background - but I also have experience in the environment, ecology, and earth science. I received a Bachelors and Masters degree from Ohio State University with a focus on quantitative modeling and artificial intelligence to understand ecological interactions and the influences of environmental parameters.

I have been teaching and mentoring students for nearly 15 years, starting with peer mentoring in high school and during my undergraduate degree. Since then, I have taught 7 different collegiate-level courses as both the instructor of record and as a teaching assistant. These courses typically have focused on GIS, statistics in coding software such as R and python, genetics, and environmental science. I was an adjunct professor at Northern Virginia Community College briefly between my Masters and starting my PhD.
