"I have been tutoring Math and French for about 10 years now. Before that I was teaching computer science at college level in Montreal, Canada (where I am from) and then in a private school to children from Kindergarten to grade 8. My training as a computer programmer has allowed me to have a better than normal understanding of computer software in general. I strongly believe that you need to master topics real well before you can even start to explain them to anyone. I gravitated towards tutoring because I prefer the one on one experience compared to a classroom environment. The best part about tutoring for me is when the students show mastery of the material through assignments, and when they report that they did really well on their quizzes & tests.

In math, I have tutored over 20 students in subjects ranging from elementary math, geometry, pre-algebra, SAT and ACT math, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics. The students I have worked with mostly get a B or above in their classes. I not only possess phenomenal math skills but I also have the ability to communicate them effectively. For French, I have mostly worked with students in the IB program, teaching conjugation, grammar, written and conversational skills required to pass the French IB exam. The students I have worked with have passed their exams with a 5 or above (on a scale from 1 to 7). I am a native French speaker. I am very strong in grammar, conjugation, oral and written skills. Great for conversational French too!
