"My name is Eric!

I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics.

In my free time I program video games, with 8+ years as a hobbyist and over a year of professional industry experience!

I have two years of tutoring experience from college, where I tutored undergraduate students in-person and online for courses teaching Java and C++. Courses I've tutored for in the past included subjects such as "Introduction to Programming" and "Data Structures and Algorithms". As for programming languages, I specialize in C & C++, but also have experience with C#, Java, and Rust, to name a few.

In my tutoring sessions, I try to break problems down into smaller steps that students can solve more easily. This gives me the opportunity to explain things the student may be having trouble with, while still letting them think things through and have that "a-ha!" moment when they figure it out. By bringing the answer out of students, they can leave the session more confident in their understanding and their abilities.
