"I am an Arizona-Certified Math Teacher and retired Electrical Engineer with over 10 years of tutoring experience, including work with Study Smart Tutors, Tutor Doctor, and ClubZ!. I bring structured, high-quality math instruction directly to students on Wyzant.

I help students who struggle with math rebuild confidence, improve grades, and understand concepts. Families often come to me when a learner feels anxious or discouraged and needs a patient, experienced teacher. My instruction blends a Certified Educator’s clarity with an Engineer’s analytical mindset to identify reasoning gaps and misconceptions that automated tools cannot diagnose.

My approach is encouraging, structured, and adaptive. I teach learners why each step works, not just how, and adjust instruction in real time to match how each student thinks. I work especially well with students rebuilding foundational skills or confidence, and many tell me they finally “get it.”

I also teach targeted DESMOS calculator strategies for the NEW Digital SAT, helping students use the built-in tools for greater speed and accuracy.

I work with students on a consistent weekly schedule and reserve a limited number of evening and weekend time blocks to ensure continuity and progress.
