"Hi! My name is Harsh. My academic journey began at Richard Bland College of William & Mary, where I built a strong foundation in math and science before transferring to Virginia Tech to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

While at community college, I discovered my passion for teaching when I worked as a math tutor for students of all ages—ranging from high schoolers just starting Algebra to adults returning to school who needed support in Geometry and Calculus. I loved being able to adapt my approach to each student, whether it meant breaking down concepts step by step, connecting abstract problems to real-world examples, or just building confidence through encouragement. I continued tutoring throughout my time at Virginia Tech, and it has remained one of the most rewarding parts of my academic and professional journey.

Since graduating, I’ve worked in the professional world as a software developer, technical project manager, and consultant at a Big 4 firm. These experiences sharpened my problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, all of which I bring into my tutoring. I understand how overwhelming complex topics can feel at first, and my goal is always to make learning approachable, structured, and—most importantly—confidence-building.

I’ve worked with students as young as 17 all the way up to adults in their 60s, so I am comfortable adjusting my teaching style based on individual goals, whether that’s preparing for exams, filling in knowledge gaps, or simply strengthening problem-solving skills. My priority is to meet students where they are, create a clear learning plan, and ensure they walk away with not just answers, but true understanding.
