"Hola! My name is Johanna, former Elementary School Teacher. I want to share with you my experience teaching overseas and the United States. I am from Costa Rica, and my native language is Spanish; while in my home country, I graduated from the State University of Costa Rica, with a B.A. in Science of Education Cycles I and II. Later on, I worked for the Department of Education in my home country where I taught in Spanish the subjects (Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Spanish -Reading, Writing, Grammar-), elementary school First, Third, and Fifth grades. I love to teach, it is my passion to help students to learn, so when I came to the United States, I continued my studies, and graduated from the State College of Florida with a B.S. in Liberal Arts (Humanities).

My teaching experience in person and online platforms synchronous and asynchronous opened the door to a broad multicultural spectrum with tons of fun and great options to immerse in the global learning community that I want to share with you.

My teaching philosophy is to help students to reach their academic goals, and to help them to believe in their potential so they can be successful. I teach based on the needs, skills and abilities of the students. Together, we are going to build a study plan with goals, specific and general objectives that will help us both to focus on the most important topic (s) of your academic plans.

If you are a novice, intermediate, superior, advanced student, I will help you with your Grammar, Reading, Writing, at all levels (I, II, III, IV), Conversational, Speaking (pronunciation, intonation).
