"I am a recent graduate of Cornell University with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in English and Business, graduating with multiple semesters on the Dean’s List. I am also a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, where I was immersed in a rigorous academic environment that continues to inform my approach to standardized testing, writing, and overall academic strategy. I additionally completed a semester of study abroad in Copenhagen, which strengthened my ability to adapt to different learning styles and expectations.
My tutoring experience includes both leadership and one-on-one instruction across a range of ages and subjects. From 2019 to 2021, I served as Co-Head of Tutoring for Children through the Exeter Student Service Organization, where I helped recruit and coordinate student tutors and supported programming for approximately 100 tutor–tutee pairings. I have also worked directly with students through Your Friendly Tutor (Frutor), remotely tutoring elementary through middle school students in English, math, and Spanish while working closely with parents.
I now work primarily with middle school, high school, and college students on SAT and SSAT preparation, academic writing, personal statements, and study skills, while also supporting other school subjects when appropriate. I earned a 1500 on the SAT on a single attempt and focus on test strategy, organization, and confidence alongside content review. As a recent graduate who has also recently applied to MD and DO medical schools, my experience with current academic and application expectations is very up to date, and I find that being both relatable and experienced helps me connect well with students. If you are interested in help with a subject not listed, I am always happy to discuss whether it may be a good fit. I can’t wait to work with you!" less...
