"I aim help create excitement towards learning for your student. I am a graduate student at Sacred Heart University pursuing my Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education (Grades K–6), with the goal of becoming an engaging and creative classroom teacher. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, where I majored in Human Development and minored in Hearing and Speech Sciences. My academic background has given me a deep understanding of how children learn and the importance of meeting each child where they are developmentally and academically.
I have been tutoring for nearly ten years and truly love helping students build confidence and excitement about learning. Throughout college, I served as President of The Every Child Project, a nonprofit tutoring organization that connected college mentors with students who needed academic support. I currently work as a teaching assistant and substitute teacher at an elementary school in Connecticut, where I support students in their learning every day. I also have extensive experience working with children through day camps, babysitting, and enrichment programs, which has strengthened my ability to connect with learners of all personalities and abilities.
My approach to tutoring is warm, patient, and encouraging. I strive to make learning feel rewarding by using interactive methods, positive reinforcement, and clear, step-by-step guidance. Whether I’m helping a student master multiplication facts or grow as a reader, my goal is always to bridge learning gaps, boost confidence, and help each child discover the joy in learning. I’m enthusiastic about creating sessions that are engaging, personalized, and fun. I am happy to help with homework, create lessons, and push student learning." less...
