"Greetings! My name is Kate and I'll be thrilled to be your creative mentor in piano, musicianship skills (theory, composition, music production, songwriting), admissions writing, and French. I am an MFA alumna of CalArts where I studied piano and music technology with Grammy-awarded faculty and served as a session musician, premiered new classical music works, and served I opera productions. I am also a BA alumna of Pomona College where I underwent extensive music theory training, and a college-preparatory boarding school alumna of the Hotchkiss School.

I am happy to help you pursue piano from scratch or/and at an advanced level, work on your specific project goals or help you set some if you are lost, help apply piano training to more broadly creative avenues, help you craft admissions essays from interview sessions, help pick the right college or prep school for you, and tutor French, which I've pursued competitively up to collegiate level.
