"Hi, I am Paris! I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Screenwriting and completed the universities honors program. Throughout my life, I have seen that writing can sometimes be viewed as boring. Constantly looking at a screen or a piece of paper not knowing what sentence to write next, how to start a paragraph, how to end an essay, or break down a story. In my own writing process, I am always thinking of new ways to approach my stories and make it more engaging for readers, and I use this same mindset with teaching. My goal is to allow the students to learn and move with purpose. I always bring a creative approach when helping out students, and shift to instructional break down so they will be able to retain the material. I am a huge advocator for thinking outside of the box and tapping into the creative side that each one of us has. Despite my own approaches, I believe it’s essential to first understand each student’s comfort level and indiviuals needs, as this allows me to effectively address any problems at hand.

In whole, I have approximately 2 years of experience with working with students. With my previous employer, I helped high school students find their pathway to success and offered any advice or support they needed. I interacted with over 100 students and was able to use my experience with writing to connect with each student individually. My most prominent teaching experience was for about 30 students between the ages of 14-17, where I taught creative writing classes at a conference. I was able to personally interact with students, guiding them through their on writing process and allowing them to express themselves freely.
