"Education professional driven to create an environment that promotes hands-on learning for children at all stages of the learning process. A patient instructor and strong communicator, I am experienced working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds. My one-on-one experience and classroom management skills provide a strong foundation for literary growth and academic progress.
I have worked through an agency, as well as working independently in Southern Maine and New Hampshire aiding students in a variety of subjects including ESL, English Literature, and history. As a private tutor I worked successfully with parents, students, and teachers. I supplied one-on-one attention to each student, tailoring lesson plans to accommodate the individual learning style and curriculum.
My teaching style focuses on the development of language and communication skills through reading and storytelling that are applicable in a variety of subjects and situations. I am a firm believer in positive reinforcement to promote confidence and redirect negative habits, with a strong emphasis on encouragement and understanding. I look forward to working with you and your child to enhance the learning process, making it fun and easier in general." less...
