"Hi! I have been working with students in education for ten years. I am a fully credentialed teacher and have been working as a Special Education teacher for the past seven years in an elementary school. I have taught grade levels TK through 5th grade. In that time, I have developed a proven track record of success in helping students get caught up to grade level even when they are multiple years behind. I am very proud of what my students have accomplished in math, reading, and writing, but I am most proud of instilling a love of school and learning in my students!

For reading I have been trained in the science of reading approach (phonics, sight words, blending sounds, fluency) to teaching reading and am familiar with several ways of teaching that approach.

I use an innovative approach to teaching writing that is evidence based (proven to work), and fun.

Math is fun too! I use a hands on, manipulative heavy approach that works.

Teaching is a joy to me! Learning will become a joy to your student! I believe learning is inherently a joyous activity, and my lessons prove it.
