"I am a California-credentialed English teacher with over 25 years of experience teaching high school English, creative writing, and literature. I hold a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in English, and I have spent my career helping students develop strong reading, writing, and communication skills with clarity and confidence.

My experience includes teaching in both traditional classrooms and fully virtual settings, including the online years during the pandemic. I have taught thousands of students in grades 9–12 and have supported learners one-on-one with essay writing, literary analysis, reading comprehension, grammar, academic writing, creative writing, and study skills. I am deeply familiar with Common Core standards, college-level expectations, and the writing demands students face today.

My tutoring approach is warm, patient, and individualized. I break complex skills into simple, manageable steps and tailor each session to the student’s unique learning style. I provide clear explanations, guided practice, and actionable feedback so students feel supported while still being gently challenged to improve.
