"I have been teaching Spanish both privately and in a K-12 setting for over 10 years. After finishing the Teacher Education Program at UCSB, I taught Spanish as well as Spanish for Native Speakers for 3 years at a local high school, and then another 4 years at a private 7-12 school. My students learn through real life experiences and simulations. I can create similar situations for individual students or I can help with homework, conversation, reading, etc. I have tutored students up to level 4 IB and have a lot of experience teaching Spanish 1 and 2. I'm familiar with the high school curriculums and how to help a student through a class.

Before becoming a teacher, I spent 3 years working in both Costa Rica and Mexico. Most of that time was in Mexico and that is where most of my Spanish language experience comes from. I also studied abroad in Spain so I have a wide range of regional experience in the language.
