I have worked as an elementary school teacher for twenty four (24) years. Presently, I am working with middle and high school students. Nothing is more satisfying for a teacher than to see a student have a breakthrough and understand a skill they have been taught.

My specialties lie in reading, the writing process, test taking skills and language acquisition. A large percentage of my students have been second language learners.

Throughout my career I taught hundreds of children and adults to read, write and speak English. I have worked with pre-K to high school students.

My strategies, methodology and the way I interact with students have been successful. I always approach a student with positive reinforcement so that they are not afraid to learn.

I have also served as a parent advocate at SSTs and IEPs. I understand the process. I also know that, at times, parents are outnumbered by the school's "team" and are intimidated by the process. I know the system, and its process, and can serve as your advocate." less...
