"I have always had a passion for teaching. I have a very extensive background in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement that spans over 25 years. I have an Associate in Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Masters in Public Administration with an emphasis in Criminal Justice management. I am also a certified Master Peace Officer through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

My teaching career began at the local police academy as a law enforcement instructor. I then began teaching for 2 undergraduate colleges where I taught CJ in a traditional classroom, online and hybrid settings. I have created courses from scratch including course syllabi, testing and major papers. I have also taken several classes through their Capstone projects and papers. I have always had a passion for taking students to the next level and seeing them succeed. Their success equals my success.

My teaching experience includes working with non-traditional students and students with outside responsibilities, families and careers.

In addition to my academic experience I also have 25+ years of real world experience as a full time peace officer. I have served in many roles including patrol and investigations. Over the last 17 years I have been a police detective and have served as a Homicide Investigator, Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Investigator as well as Financial and Burglary Investigator.
