"I am currently employed as a full time professional STEM tutor. I tutor general chemistry I and II, organic chemistry, biochemistry, anatomy and physiology, biology I and II, microbiology, embryology and physics I and II (both calculus and algebra based).

I am ITTPC and IPTPC certified through the College Reading and Learning Association and am a current member of CRLA. I have also completed over 30 hours of training in academic success through the college. I am comfortable and experienced in teaching on a one on one basis with students as well as a group setting. I also currently run the academic peer coaching grant project, which focuses on the academic success of our STEM student population. I created the curriculum for the project and oversee the administration.

I have been a tutor since 2021 and have a passion for helping students not only learn the material requested but instill strong study habits. I enjoy developing a relationship of trust and understanding with my students as I have come to understand that students who require tutoring can feel ashamed or shy, but providing them with a safe space of learning helps to instill confidence in the student. The feeling of fulfillment that I receive from helping a student overcome adversity in their studies and hearing about their successes after my sessions with them pushes me to give my best to provide the best service possible.

Additionally, I work as a private tutor for high school, college, and graduate level students. I believe this is yet another tool I have honed to better help my students in these sessions as I focus on the student's entire academic career." less...
