"Hi, I’m Josh! I’m currently a Computer Science student at the University of Virginia, with a strong background in math, physics, and computer science. Before UVA, I graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) in 2025, where I maintained a 4.566 GPA (4.0 unweighted).
I’ve been deeply involved in STEM both inside and outside of the classroom. On the competitive side, I’m a 4x AIME qualifier, with additional experience in programming contests (USACO) and other academic competitions. I've also received the team's top scorer in ARML. Academically, I’ve built a strong foundation across a range of subjects, and I enjoy sharing that knowledge with others. I've been doing competition math for 13+ years, and have been coding for 8+ years now.
I can tutor a wide variety of math and science courses, including:
Mathematics: From Algebra and Geometry through Calculus III (Multivariable) and Linear Algebra
Physics: AP Physics C: Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism
Computer Science: Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, AP Computer Science, programming fundamentals, and more advanced concepts.
I have gotten 5s on the AP exams for all the STEM subjects I cover; Calculus BC, Computer Science A, Physics C: Mechanics, Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism, Chemistry, Statistics.
I'm also available for olympiad/competitive math or other subjects as well.
I’ve been tutoring for over six years, working with students both one-on-one and in small groups. My approach is flexible and personalized—I focus on breaking down complex ideas into simple, intuitive steps, while also helping students build problem-solving skills that last beyond a single test or class.
Whether you’re preparing for a competition, getting ahead in class, or just need extra support, I’d love to help. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson!" less...
