"With 23 years of experience in teaching, I bring a deep well of knowledge and a passion for education to my tutoring sessions. I graduated from Alabama State University with a degree in Biology Education, and since then, I have dedicated my career to educating students in grades 6th through 12. My teaching journey has taken me to diverse locations, including Charles County, Maryland, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C., where I have honed my skills in various educational settings. Currently, I teach Biomedical Science, Environmental Science, and Sustainable Urban Agriculture, subjects that are not only academically challenging but also deeply relevant to today’s world.

My extensive experience working with Title 1-funded schools over the past 15 years has equipped me to provide the extra support many students need to succeed. I understand the challenges of teaching in these environments and have developed strategies to help students thrive, both in and out of the classroom. My approach is student-centered, focusing on building confidence, understanding, and a genuine interest in the subjects I teach.

In addition to my classroom teaching, I tutor students twice a week at my current school, offering personalized support to help them master complex concepts in science and improve their reading comprehension skills.
