"Aloha, my name is Aaliyah and I am a current undergraduate student at the University Of Hawaii At Manoa. I am studying elementary education and aspire to become an elementary school teacher. I recently graduated high school with summa cum laude, honors diploma, and as a board member of the national honors society. I have a huge passion for education and the great teachers I have had throughout my years contributed to my interest in pursuing a post secondary degree in education. I have a special interest in English and plan to minor in writing next school year. I have done AP and honors classes in Chemistry, English composition and literature, as well as world and American history.

I have tutored a range of students aged 5-16. I volunteer regularly at an elementary school that my mother works at as a teacher, and have experience in teaching elementary math and reading in both general and special education. While I particularly enjoy tutoring elementary aged kids, I also have experience in tutoring middle school, and some high school students as a job I had while in high school.
