"My name is Jihae, and I am currently the VP of Data Science for a software company based in San Francisco, looking to offer tutoring in math and computer science.

My academic background constitutes of attending a prestigious boarding high school, where I ended up taking 13 AP exams (9 5's and 4 4's) across various subjects. As an undergraduate, I attended Northwestern University and graduated summa cum laude with a Honors Bachelor's degree in Math and Economics, along with a minor in Political Science. Afterwards, I also received a Master of Science degree at the Kellstadt Graudate School of Business in Finance.

I have a few years of tutoring experience in various AP and SAT subjects, such as SAT math (including SAT II), AP Calculus, and AP Computer Science. I also am a frequent user of Python in my everyday data science work and specialize in knowledge over not only the core programming concepts but also various libraries that are used within the data science field, such as numpy, pandas, and scikit-learn. I also have experience working with large language models (LLMs), using PyTorch, Langchain, and vector databases.

Especially when dealing with high school students, I have always attempted to introduce concepts in a fun and engaging way before going in-depth into the material and offering test-focused help (if needed). I provide the students time and guidance to practice the material on their own, which I believe is critical to achieving success in any topic.

While my work has taken me away from tutoring for some time, I have always found joy in being able to impact the students that I teach by sharing my knowledge. Now that I do have time available, I am interested in being an active resource to the students who are interested in math, computer science, or even specific data science concepts.
